Highly Commended Illustration!

I'm super stoked that my illustration got a highly commended in the 2022 New England Illustration Prize! I haven't been this excited since I won that easter colouring competition in year 4! 🥳

The theme was "The Door to Adventure". I've always loved art galleries and how paintings and art can transport you to another world, so this was the main idea for my illustration.

I'm a sucker for a blue tone colour palette, but also wanted to try a more vibrant orange mix, which I don't use too often.

I like to imagine that the little girl will go into the painting and have lots of adventures with her new friend!
